New abstract art completed and added for February METALBRICKS
This one was actually started back in November, but other things got in the way in December and January, until finally last weekend the creative rush returned with a surge and METALBRICKS was finally completed.
I was trying to go for a cast metal / rust type of look and feel with this one, in part inspired by a combination of Yorkshire drystone walls and old rusted cast iron steam engine components.
Quite a lot of work (maybe too much) went into this one, but I'm quite pleased with the end result which for once actually looks far better in the flesh than these quick photo snaps convey.
